Hanging Worm Hale
This innovative worm hangout is so far out of the box
it's not even a box! A breathable waterproof synthetic
fabric bag operates as a continuous flow system and
houses a 1- to 2-pound worm colony. Simply zip open
the fly-proof screen and continually add food waste,
paper bedding, and water at the top. Six months later,
untoggle the drawstrings on the bottom and squeeze out
a batch of vermicast. Harvest every month or so after
that for finished, crumbly vermicast. This system
is ideal for indoor use just place a bucket
underneath to catch the drainage. We made a 36"
PVC stand to suspend it at a comfortable height - no
more stooping over to lift heavy bins or trays!
The Hanging Hale has a clean, contemporary look and
comes in your choice of green, burgundy, or a camo forest
print.
Worm Hangout- $85 No-stoop stand - $45.
