Worms & Worm Bins

One pound of worms. We use the industry standard and weigh worms fully separated
from bedding material

Worms
All composting worms are sold in mixed colonies consisting mostly of our Oahu variety, Perionyx excavatus (Indian blueworms), with a few Maui Eisenia fetida (redworms or red wigglers) added. Worms are sold by measured weight and packaged bed run – an assortment of babies, juveniles, and adults – in ample bedding for their comfort and protection.

$10 per ounce or $160 per pound • 1/4 pound is $40 + tax

Redworms are still very rare and may be purchased separately but in limited quantities only. Limit one ounce redworms for $10 + tax

Hanging Worm Hale
This innovative worm hangout is so far out of the box it's not even a box! A breathable waterproof synthetic fabric bag operates as a continuous flow system and houses a 1- to 2-pound worm colony. Simply zip open the fly-proof screen and continually add food waste, paper bedding, and water at the top. Six months later, untoggle the drawstrings on the bottom and squeeze out a batch of vermicast. Harvest every month or so after that for finished, crumbly vermicast. This system is ideal for indoor use – just place a bucket underneath to catch the drainage. We made a 36" PVC stand to suspend it at a comfortable height - no more stooping over to lift heavy bins or trays!

The Hanging Hale has a clean, contemporary look and comes in your choice of green, burgundy, or a camo forest print.
